God Bless your money.
I was just in Cultures grabbing some grub (tomato & mushroom quiche with fruit salad and spinach salad) when I heard an ad for something called encounter 2005, a Christian rock festival at Ontario Place sponsored by FaithLife Financial that describes itself as:
I can't wait to get my ticket! I might even think about changing employers.
FaithLife Financial is a Christian-based, member-owned financial services organization dedicated to helping Canadian Christians achieve financial security, while providing opportunities for volunteer service and personal growth.
I can't wait to get my ticket! I might even think about changing employers.

Dude, you can get your car repaired in a jesus-y way if you want.
Q: If it was a Hindu, Jeweish or Muslim event would you post somthing equally stupid about it? Think about it.
Yes I would. If it's stupid it's stupid regardless of religion.
In my post I do not say that the event is stupid. I was merely pointing out how odd it is to have a financial institution exclusively for Lutherans and Christians. In the states they sell everything and anything tied to religion (dan mentioned that) but it is not as common here.
you missed my point entirely mate. it seems fashionable these days to point out and mock aspects of the the christian faith, be it a jesus fridge magnet at 'candy mountain'
, cheeky shirt, belt, or simply a comment like yours bringing attention to a community who share a faith.
But thats just it. Faith shouldn't include a fridge magnet or a car wash or a t-shirt. Like everything else we should question faith and religion mine, yours and everyone elses. I question a great deal of what the church says I should think, how I should behave, whats right and wrong and that's healthy. I'm Roman Catholic and I don't need a keyring or bumper sticker to say so.
i agree ~ kinda ~ here is where I personally have a problem with the evangelical movement, however I don't / can't question anothers level faith based on their enterpretation of the bible. and really nor should anyone else. going back to my original point it seems socially acceptable to mock those of christian faith, go into a jewish part of town or a city in the middle east - look at shop names etc. you might be surprised many different faiths proudly display their commitment.
